The weather makes it hard to think that April arrives just next week. It has been a winter to remember and to hopefully forget when the warm sunny days arrive!

The shop will be closed on Saturday April 4, Easter Saturday.

Don’t forget the Pop Up Wool Shop on April 16, 9:30-12:30 with Upper Canada Quilt Works. Nellie and Christine will have their wool, thread, kits and patterns for sale. If you wish to order something from their website they will bring it on the 16th.
April 30 there will be a sale with 25% off most fabrics. A good time to shop for your project needs. Think new placemats & napkins for your summer entertaining. Pillow covers for spring, shower and baby gifts too.

Fiona is ready to quilt for you. Her turn around time is 3-4 weeks. Compare her prices. If you prepare your quilt by trimming threads & pressing well it saves her prep time and results in a lower price. For example, a Queen size can be as low as $150.  This is a pet free environment. Fiona is usually in the shop on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Call 613-838-5541 to make an appointment for a consult, or drop your quilt off, (no appointment necessary for a drop off)

We are collecting orphan blocks, any size and pattern for Quilts for Survivors. Hunt them out and drop them off for this good cause. Everybody has a few!

A new session of Beginner classes starts on April 8, 10-12, for 6 classes. This is an opportunity to see the latest tricks and techniques. You will need a sewing machine, but no quilting experience!
