March’s Special Classes and Workshops:
Beginner Quilting Class: The current Beginner Class will wrap up on March 7th. The NEXT one will begin on April 1st from 10 – 12pm. This runs for 6 classes. This is a good introduction/review/refresher for anyone wanting to catch up or learn the latest techniques.
Sleep at Home Weekend: March 27 & 28, 9:30 – 3pm each day. Set up your project, sew all day and leave it overnight to continue next day. Guaranteed to support and inspire you! Meals and snacks are included.
March’s On-going Monthly Clubs:
Finishing School: Every Tuesday, from 9:30-1pm. It is a time to work on your projects along with others. Lots of advice and encouragement are provided! No need to sign up, just come along and join the group.
Knotty Girls! March 12, 9:30-11:30. A wide variety of stitching is covered in the class.
Smile Quilts: March 11, 9:30 -2:00. This group makes quilts to donate to shelters and the Youville Centre. Just bring your machine and donate your time to help with this project. Fabric is provided.
Landscape: March 19, 10-1. ‘Photo to fabric’. Many techniques are covered as you learn to reproduce your memories onto fabric. Those who are thread painting are welcome to join this class.
Wool Applique Club! March 26, 10-12. Bring along your projects and see what others have done!! Motivation guaranteed!
LOOKING AHEAD TO APRIL…
Upper Canada Quilt Works will provide a Wool Applique Pop Up Shop at The Country Quilter! Mark Thursday, April 16th from 10 – noon on your calendar. Come and meet the ladies and see their beautiful kits, threads, wool and patterns!
